Lil Wayne (Tool)

Lil Wayne is a very popular artist in America to this day. He has had so many fans, just because of his way with the lyrics, and how he had the money to make them sound good. Lil Wayne is very popular to the children from middle school and up. It's just the style of music these days.

Dewayne Carter, "Lil Wayne" has been influencing many artist to this day. Including the famous "Copy Cat", "Drake" has totally took his style of music, but nobody cared because it still sounded good. Lil Wayne first started blowing up when his hit single "Lollipop" came out. Ever since then he kept coming out with songs dealing with his rapping/whining.

If you havent noticed, I do not respect Lil Wayne at all. I've seen him on the news being charged with multiple charges, including drugs and guns. He has also been accused of stealing music, but never has been charged just because of how rich he is. Dewayne has been very succesful, but he has turned his career into a skateboarding career. Funny thing is that he completely sucks at skateboarding. He almost passed "Elvis" in the top 100. He only needs one more, and he will have passed him.

Eminem

Alot of you have heard of the rapper, "Eminem" im sure. Well his real name is Marshal Mathers, and he was born October 17th, 1972.  He was always known to have a rough childhood growing up in St. Joseph, Missouri. He didn't have much money at all, so it was tough.

Over the years, Eminem made many friends from around his block, and really got into hip-hop. He started doing local shows when people actually noticed he was good. That's when in 1999, by the name of "Slim Shady" he created his first album, "Slim Shady LP". The album went multi-platinum and won 2 grammy's, and 4 music video awards.

From then on, Marshall became more and more successful and produced many more albums. He even ended up switching his name a couple of times. He is still writing and producing music to this day. Alot of people look at eminem as a inspiration. He was one of the first non Africa Americans to actually be successful in the rap game. He got a lot of respect.

Grateful Dead

Many of you have only been around for less the 20 years, but beleive it or not, we had music way back in the day. One of the most popular groups that formed back in San Francisco in 1965 is the "Grateful Dead". They played all the way throughout 1995.

"What a long, strange trip it's been" is a lyric from one of the Grateful Dead's best known songs and pretty much tells a bunch about the long history of this band. The Grateful dead is really known for being into drugs. Which is a huge problem with bands these days. The group consisted of the 9 members Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, Bill Kreutzmann, Micky Hart, Keith & Donna Godcheaux, and Brent Mydland. In the begining the band started off playing free shows. After a while people started noticing them, and that's when they blew up. The band would go on playing shows throughout the years, but at the same time they were battling they're drug problems as well.

This is a huge reason I would maybe think twice about being in a band. Who would want to make a bunch of money, then just spend it on drugs? I would definitely invest into something else.

Atmosphere

Sean Daley is an average american guy trying to make the dream. Sean is better known as "Atmosphere". He's pretty much the second eminem! He is best known for how good he uses his lyrics. He grew up Minneapolis, MN. In the begining, Atomosphere consisted of two guys, but the second one left. Sean started out just screwing around with his friends, when they noticed they actually sounded good, and then that's when they started making there own project.

Sean has come out with 20 or even more albums, including EP's. Atmosphere is well known for the way he uses women in alot of his songs. He can keep going on and on about the female species. Sean tell's the media what he writes, he means. He tries to use real talk the whole time while he raps. He doesn't want to be like all the rappers who rap about sex, drugs, and money.
